Reformer Pilates
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a low-impact, full-body workout that uses a specialized machine called a reformer to provide a personalized experience. The reformer provides resistance and support through the use of a sliding carriage attached to springs, straps, and pulleys. This system allows for a wide variety of exercises, catering to all fitness levels, to build strength, improve flexibility, enhance balance, and increase core control. With the reformer, exercises can be done lying down, sitting, standing, or even kneeling creating a whole-body low impact workout. Whether you're new to Pilates or a seasoned pro, our instructors will guide you through exercises designed to improve core stability, flexibility, and posture. All levels are welcome!
If you are interested in elevating your ASU Reformer Pilates experience, you can sign up for one of our semi-private sessions. We offer four different classes, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Jumpboard to give you a variety of options and help you progress your skills. These sessions give you individualized feedback and are limited to 6 participants per class. These classes will run through the whole semester and are $20 per class.
Class registration will open 48 hours in advance of the class time, just like our normal group wellness offerings. Once you register and submit payment, your spot is guaranteed for the class. Missed classes cannot be rescheduled or refunded. You can register here for upcoming reformer classes: Paid Reformer Pilates Class Registration.

Mat Pilates
Our Mat Pilates classes are full body workouts that follow original Joseph Pilates principles with instructors' own unique challenges added to each class. Mat Pilates is a challenging format that includes just you and your mat, and some props when necessary. Every move is intentional and targets a lot of different small muscles, from your core to your upper and lower body, you wouldnt think could be sore. Mat Pilates is a great way to build strength and enhance body awareness. Our instructors will guide you through a variety of exercises that focus on core strength, stability, and overall body control.
